CSI Awards 2019: NEO Is the Best Product in the Internet of Things or Application Product Category
At IBC, the world’s most influential media, entertainment and technology show, which took place between 13 and 17 September in Amsterdam, NEO won over both the visitors (business customers and experts) as well as the jury of the CSI Awards which rank among the industry’s most prestigious and competitive technology awards. NEO smart living and entertainment platform was voted the winner in the Best IoT Product Technology or Application category.
With the NEO smart living and entertainment platform Telekom Slovenije was among the first in the world to provide users with the option of using voice commands for managing their content and smart home devices from one spot. The platform is designed to be customizable to any global language and for any operator. It attracted a great deal of interest from IBC visitors. Besides the fact that NEO was one of the few showcased platforms that are already operational and not just a demo version, what really grabbed the attention of the business customers and the experts was its ease of use, the responsiveness of the interface, how advanced and perfected the solution is, the option to view real-time viewership, and its potential for expansion. This response has already resulted in Telekom Slovenije holding meetings with potential partners.
Along with winning the best solution in the IoT and Application Product category NEO was also shortlisted in the Best TV User Experience category at the 2019 CSI Awards.
NEO had already received an award at the one of the biggest global innovation events, the 2018 CES, where it was an honoree in the Tech For A Better World product category, while at the Content Innovation Awards it was shortlisted in the Advanced TV Innovation of the year category, and at the 2018 CSI Awards it received the “highly commended” recognition in the Best IoT/Smart Home or 5G Technology category, and was also shortlisted in the Best TV Everywhere or Multi-Screen Video category.
This year NEO also received a Bronze Medal recognition for innovation in the Central Slovenian region from the Slovenian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and was the winner in the Advanced Technology Use category at the WEBSI Awards, which highlight the finest Slovenian digital solutions.
