Just in time for the Olympic Games, Telekom Slovenije has prepared a campaign addressing offensive comments and encouraging everyone to #CheerIntelligently. The most important part of the campaign is the motivational song created specifically to convey messages of intelligent cheering all the way to Paris.

Telekom Slovenije’s Cybersecurity and Resilience Centre handled a record number of security incidents in the first half of this year, more than three times the number in the same period last year. Additionally, there were 15% more security incidents in the second quarter compared to the first, indicating a growing trend. Telekom Slovenije has alerted to the steep rise of cyberattacks on individuals, businesses and organisations, with attackers increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence in their operations.

Telekom Slovenije and its partners presented the results of a study that was conducted as part of the European project 5G-SITACOR. The study focuses on utilising the potential of 5G technology to develop infrastructures for greater road traffic safety between Slovenia and Italy. The main goal was to assess the technical requirements for the comprehensive establishment of the Mediterranean and Baltic-Adriatic road corridors, with special emphasis on cross-border sections between Italian Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Slovenia.

Telekom Slovenije is giving its subscribers a free subscription for three months when they purchase any Samsung LTE/5G device (phone, tablet, or smartwatch) with a contract. Additionally, for every medal won by our athletes at the Olympic Games in Paris, Telekom Slovenije will grant an extra month's subscription. So, if our athletes win 5 Olympic medals in Paris, Telekom Slovenije will offer a total of 8 months of free subscriptions.

Slovenian fans demonstrated what heartfelt and sportsmanlike cheering means at the European Football Championship. Through their cheering and support, they motivated our football players during the toughest moments, for which the players thanked them at a reception held on Wednesday in Ljubljana. Unfortunately, athletes are often targets of undermining, insults, various remarks, negative comments, and even hate speech, especially in the digital world, regardless of their performance results.

Telekom Slovenije has received two innovation awards. The E-Care and vital signs monitoring solution was awarded the gold prize, while the solution for biometric ID on mobile phones received the silver prize from the Chamber of Central Slovenia at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) for the best innovations in the region.

An amazing number of Slovenian fans will be cheering live at the UEFA European Football Championship, taking place in Germany until 14 July. Telekom Slovenije has prepared free and unlimited mobile data transfer for all its mobile subscribers who will be cheering in Germany. At the same time, it has joined the charitable campaign #srčnišal of the Football Association of Slovenia and contributed by purchasing 1,000 "Heart Scarves" to help pay for sports training and equipment for children from socially disadvantaged environments and to support the Slovenian Special Olympics teams.

Telekom Slovenije donates EUR 20,000 to the Slovenian Red Cross for the renovation of the youth housing Morska zvezda at the Spa and Holiday Centre at Debeli rtič. About 16,000 children from all across Slovenia vacation at Debeli rtič every year, and with this donation, their stay at the Morska zvezda youth housing will be even nicer. The donation was handed to Ana Žerjal, the president of the Slovenian Red Cross and the acting director of Slovenian Red Cross’s Spa and Holiday Centre at Debeli rtič, by Boštjan Škufca Zaveršek, the Vice President of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije.
