Telekom Slovenije, the operator of the biggest fixed and mobile networks in the country, has reached a new milestone, as it has exceeded 200,000 retail fixed broadband connections.
The lucky 200,000th connection was activated for a user in Maribor, who received a two-year free subscription to the NEO fixed plan and the NAJ mobile plan from Telekom Slovenije.
This year Telekom Slovenije has achieved growth in the number of connections across all segments of its operation. According to the latest publicly available data, the number of retail fixed broadband connections increased by 0.6% from the first quarter to the second. At the end of June it had 197,344 fixed broadband connections, and just recently it has exceeded 200,000.
Telekom Slovenije has also taken a new step in the development of the solution that provides an immediate connection of fixed broadband services, namely internet access, TV and telephone service, as it provides an immediate connection of services via the 4G and 5G networks. This gives users access to fixed services also through mobile technology, and on its upgraded network Telekom Slovenije provides speeds of up to 300 Mbps downlink and up to 50 Mbps uplink. With the upgrade of the capacities to the mobile network and the modems such a connection can be a temporary or a permanent solution.
The subscriber receives their modem and up to three NEO Smartboxes immediately at the point of sale, or by mail if they conclude the agreement remotely; they can simply install them themself, and the services are activated instantly after the installation New subscribers to NEO A, NEO B and NEO C subscription plans can connect through state-of-the-art mobile network, if they do not already have a sufficiently capable fixed connection.
Telekom Slovenije also guarantees satisfaction to all new subscribers to NEO TV platform services. This means that they will refund the money to those who are not satisfied with the service after using it for 30 days. “With its virtually flawless voice control in Slovenian, a redesigned and upgraded user interface that provides a superior user experience, and an absolute abundance of TV content for all tastes, the NEO platform has virtually no competition in the Slovenian market. And once you try it, you just know this is true,” emphasised Katja Šajnovič, Operations Development Director at Telekom Slovenije.
From 28 November, all Telekom Slovenije television subscribers are on NEO, the most cutting edge TV platform on the Slovenian market, which has been setting trends with voice control for 5 years, and which brings a completely new experience of watching TV content. On that date, the previous TV set-top-boxes from Netgem were phased out, which means that Telekom Slovenije provides all subscribers with the most modern user experience of watching TV content.
