The digital world enriches our lives and connects us, yet also brings various pitfalls; and this is where children and adolescents are particularly vulnerable.
To combat this, Telekom Slovenije has designed the Enjoy Intelligently platform with the primary objective to raise awareness about the balanced, safe, and responsible use of digital technologies. As part of this initiative, the company has completely revamped its line of SUPR mobile subscription plans for young people, which are tailored to different age groups and their communication needs, while the included “Varen splet" security service provides appropriate protection against online dangers.
Young people are spending more and more time online, so responsible use of devices should also include proper protection of mobile devices from online threats. “Varen splet" is a security service that protects mobile devices from malicious websites by warning users of the danger and by blocking access.
"The SUPR subscription plans are truly superb: they are affordable, secure, and include large data allowances. We have fully tailored the plans to the needs of different age groups of young users, growing and developing with them, as they are intended for young people aged from 6 to 31. We placed special emphasis on security, ensuring that young people can enjoy using technology smartly," said Luca Borzatta, Director of Product and Service Development at Telekom Slovenije.
The advantage of the revamped SUPR subscription plans is that they "grow" with the young user from the age of 6, and are available from as low as EUR 5 per month.
The SUPR mini subscription plan is intended for the youngest users, specifically from the age of six to eleven; the subscriber of the plan is the parent or legal guardian. The plan costs EUR 5 per month and includes 1000 voice minutes and messages, 1 GB of data allowance in Slovenia or EU-rate countries, and the Varen splet service.
For young people aged 11 to 15, there is the SUPR najst subscription plan for EUR 11 per month; here the subscriber is also the parent or legal guardian. This subscription plan includes unlimited calls, messages, and data allowance in Slovenia, and 11.6 GB of data allowance in EU-rate countries. This plan also includes the Varen splet service.
The existing SUPR subscription plan is still intended for young people aged 15 to 31, and costs EUIR 16 per month. This subscription plan includes unlimited calls, messages, and data transfer in Slovenia with gigabit speeds, and 22 GB per month in EU-rate countries. The Varen splet service is available for free in this plan, and the subscriber only needs to activate it.
The face of the attractive SUPR campaign is Glubglub – a character who uses technology in... not the smartest way. His unwise use of the internet and smart technologies never ends well for him, so Telekom Slovenije has prepared the SUPR subscription plan for him and everyone else, reminding us that smart technology is not enough – real smarts are in the brains.
