24. 9. 2026

The independent international nPerf study covering the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, has shown Telekom Slovenije achieved the best overall result among fixed internet providers in Slovenia. The company also received awards for the best fixed network performance and the best FTTH broadband network performance in Slovenia.

The results confirm that, in addition to its multiple award-winning mobile network, Telekom Slovenije provides its users with the best-performing fixed network in the country, delivering the highest average download and upload speeds, the lowest latency, and an excellent user experience for web browsing and video streaming.

The independent nPerf study confirms that Telekom Slovenije provides its users with the best fixed internet performance in Slovenia. The total nPerf score takes into account measured download and upload speeds, latency and user experience indicators, including the quality of web browsing and video streaming. This means that the result reflects the overall quality of the connection as experienced by users in their everyday use of the internet.

nPerf is regarded as one of Europe’s leading independent assessors of internet connection quality. The French company operates a global platform for measuring the performance of fixed, mobile and Wi-Fi networks, based on measurements conducted by actual users. According to nPerf, more than 300,000 connectivity tests are carried out worldwide every day, while its measurement infrastructure comprises more than 3,000 servers. These provide a reliable reflection of the actual user experience in everyday internet use, from remote working and videoconferencing to video streaming, gaming and the use of digital services.

In the total fixed internet ranking, Telekom Slovenije achieved 145,953 nPerf points, ranking it first in Slovenia. It also recorded the highest average download speed of 493.84 Mbps, the highest average upload speed of 221.09 Mbps and the lowest average latency of 12.97 ms.

The results for the FTTH fibre network are particularly noteworthy, with Telekom Slovenije achieving an overall score of 179,230 nPerf points, an average download speed of 1,091 Mbps, an average upload speed of 530.15 Mbps and an average latency of 6.32 ms. According to nPerf measurements, this represents the best FTTH performance in Slovenia.

The nPerf Barometer is based on large-scale measurements conducted by actual users who test their internet connections via the nPerf.com website and mobile applications. nPerf applies methodological filters in its analysis to ensure the quality and representativeness of the results. The report for Slovenia lists the statistical accuracy of 1.5% for absolute values and one percentage point for percentage indicators, confirming the high degree of reliability of the results.

Boštjan Košak, President of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije, commented on the results: “The results of the independent nPerf study confirm that we provide users with the best fixed internet experience in Slovenia. Such a result is no coincidence; it is the outcome of several years of focused and systematic work and our commitment to ensuring quality across all technology segments. This is important recognition for our teams, who work every day to develop and upgrade our network and ensure its reliability and security. The fixed network is one of the country’s key digital infrastructure foundations, which is why Telekom Slovenije strategically invests in its performance, resilience and accessibility, thereby supporting the digital development of Slovenia, its economy and society.”

Vesna Prodnik, MSc, Member of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije, added: “Today, users expect considerably more from an internet connection than just high speeds. Stability, responsiveness, reliability and a high-quality experience when working, learning, enjoying entertainment, watching video content and using digital services are all important, as is prompt access to professional technical support when problems arise. We are therefore particularly pleased that nPerf measures the overall user experience and that Telekom Slovenije achieved the best overall result. This confirms that our investments in network and service quality are well founded. These investments also form the basis for comprehensive solutions tailored to the requirements of the business environment that we provide to business users.”

Arik Benayoun, Head of Sales and Business Development at nPerf, highlighted upon publication of the results: “At nPerf, we assess network quality on the basis of actual user measurements, which means that our results reflect the experience users have in their everyday use of the internet. From July 2025 to June 2026, Telekom Slovenije achieved the best overall result among fixed internet providers in Slovenia. It leads in download and upload speeds and latency, while also achieving excellent results for the user experience of web browsing and video streaming. Such a result is an outstanding achievement in Slovenia’s highly competitive electronic communications market and, based on these measurements, also places Slovenia among Europe’s highly developed fixed internet markets.”

The achievement confirms Telekom Slovenije’s position as a key provider of fixed communications services in Slovenia and underscores the importance of continuous investment in modern, high-performance, secure and reliable digital infrastructure. The result is also underpinned by a comprehensive, measurable and highly digitalised quality assurance process encompassing network planning and management, equipment and material testing, service delivery at users’ premises and remote technical support. Compared with other providers, Telekom Slovenije achieved the best overall score and the highest download and upload speeds, while also recording the lowest latency. It provides high-quality connectivity to both residential and business users, who, in addition to a high-performance network, require a high level of reliability, professional support and comprehensive digital solutions.
