Telekom Slovenije prepared mobile subscription plans with significantly bigger data allowances, both in home network and when roaming in EU-rate countries. In 2022 mobile data traffic in Telekom Slovenije’s mobile network increased by 45% compared to the year before, while the number of 5G network users grew to approximately 130,000.
Telekom Slovenije is also responding to the growth in mobile data by increasing the capacities of its base stations. This makes it possible for users to access cutting-edge communication services and the best user experience in a secure network, as Telekom Slovenije provides them with the best price/performance for internet and mobile networks. This also netted the company the Best Buy Awards, based on research among users of communication services.
“Trends in the use of mobile services show that users need and will continue to need ever bigger data allowances, with the growing use of video content and various apps. We took this into account when designing mobile plans that respond to the users’ needs, by including practically unlimited on-net data transfer and more than 20 GB in EU countries. Our users are not willing to compromise and are used to services being secure and reliable in our network. With continued development of 5G and other cutting-edge technologies we will continue to make it possible for our users to consistently receive ever better services,” emphasised Simon Slonjšak, Director of Product and Service Development at Telekom Slovenije.
The scope of data transfer in mobile networks is growing, and research shows that by 2026 up to 65% of all mobile networks in Western Europe will be using 5G technology.
In order to make mobile technology even more accessible to users, Telekom Slovenije now has two mobile subscription plans (Naj B and Naj C) with unlimited data allowance in Slovenia, and bigger data allowances in EU-rate countries.
The Naj C subscription plan now comes with unlimited voice calls, messaging and data in Slovenia, as well as 23.8 GB of data allowance for EU-rate countries with no surcharge. The supported data speeds are 450 Mbps downlink and 100 Mbps uplink.
The Naj B subscription plan now also includes unlimited voice calls, messaging and data in Slovenia, as well as 22.9 GB of data allowance for EU-rate countries with no surcharge.
The Naj A subscription plan now comes with unlimited voice calls and messaging, as well as a 20 GB data allowance in Slovenia, of which 16.5 GB can be used in EU-rate countries with no surcharge. Subscribers to the plan can also take advantage of the EUR 5 discount with the Child benefit; it is available to parents who take this plan for children from 6 to 14 years of age.
During the promotional period from 1 March to 30 April 2023 all of these plans are available to both residential and business users at the single price of EUR 12.99 – and for just EUR 7.99 when taking advantage of the connect & save benefit. The promotional subscription fee is available to new subscribers for the first year when concluding a subscriber agreement, and to existing users for 6 months when purchasing a mobile phone with a lock-in.
The monthly subscription fee for the Naj A plan is EUR 18.19, for Naj B it is EUR 25.19 and for Naj C it is EUR 26.19.
The Best Buy Award is the project of the Swiss corporation ICERTIAS, which performs studies in order to make it easier for consumers to find the best and best priced products and services. According to Slovenian consumers, Telekom Slovenije is the best telecommunication service provider with regard to price and the quality of internet and mobile services in Slovenia.
