Telekom Slovenije also provides practical tips for protecting devices when vacationing and for protecting equipment from lightning strikes with the help of its free Strela alarm service. Smart vacations: Top tips for protecting your phone and notebook
Vacations are a time to unwind, but that does not mean you should forget about the safety and security of your devices. Phones and notebooks you carry with you often contain work-related data, making the relaxed holiday environment an ideal opportunity for thieves. Device theft is not just a financial loss; it can also result in major business damage due to the loss of access and documents. To ensure a truly carefree break, Telekom Slovenije has prepared a few top tips:

  • Never leave it unattended: Do not leave devices in plain sight in your car or alone on a café table, even for just a minute. Most thefts occur during moments of inattention in public places such as airports, restaurants, and on public transport.
  • Lock and protect: Always use screen locking (PIN, fingerprint, facial recognition). Activate two-factor authentication (2FA) for access to email and key applications. This is an essential barrier to unauthorised access.
  • Prepare for the worst: Regularly back up your data to the cloud or an external drive. Turn on tracking features (e.g., Find My Device or Apple Find My) so you can locate or remotely wipe your device if it is lost.
  • Encrypt sensitive data: If you store confidential work documents on your device, make sure they are encrypted. This means that they not accessible even if the device falls into the wrong hands.

If your work devices gets stolen, immediately inform the police and your employer, who will initiate security procedures to protect company data. Enjoy your well-deserved rest, but stay one step ahead of miscreants.

Telekom Slovenije offers unlimited internet in popular new destinations
Telekom Slovenije’s mobile users can now access new unlimited data allowance bundles in a growing number of countries. They can choose bundles that provide unlimited mobile internet in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo. Now, this also includes the USA, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Switzerland. For worry-free communication and internet use when travelling within the European Union, Telekom Slovenije's subscription plans also include a generous data allowance.

Beware, lightning! Protect your equipment
Telekom Slovenije is warning of the danger of lightning strikes and advising on how to protect sensitive electronic equipment. As lightning strikes most often damage modems, set-top boxes, and computers, it is recommended that devices are disconnected from all networks well before an anticipated storm. For timely danger notifications, Telekom Slovenije offers the free Lightning Alarm service that alerts you via SMS and a notification on your TV screen. The service can be easily activated by sending an SMS with the text “STRELA" followed by a space and your user name for fixed services (found on your bill or in the Moj Telekom portal) to 041 145 000. If Telekom Slovenije equipment is nevertheless damaged, you can report it by calling 041 700 700. Full details on protection are available on the website ts.si/bliskoviti-obisk.

Get up to a year of free subscription, services, and insurance with a new smartwatch
Telekom Slovenije, the leading Slovenian telecommunications operator, is the first in Slovenia to introduce the innovative "Ena številka" (One Number) service, and launch mobile connectivity for Apple Watches. This innovation brings a new level of convenience to users, allowing them to use one phone number on up to three different devices simultaneously – for example, on a smartphone, a smartwatch, and a tablet. This means they can remain reachable while running or working, even when they do not have their phone with them, as all connected devices ring on an incoming call, and outgoing calls always display the same main phone number. To use the service, which is available for the latest Apple, Samsung, and Huawei smartwatch models with eSIM technology, each device requires its own subscription plan. Telekom Slovenije recommends the "Naj Naprava" (Best Device) plan. The monthly subscription fee for the One Number service itself is just €1 (incl. VAT) and is only charged on the main number. Additionally, Telekom Slovenije has prepared an exceptional promotional offer for the purchase of select smartwatch models, which, upon entering into a 24-month subscription for the "Naj Naprava" plan, includes a triple benefit: a full year of free One Number service, a full year of free "Naj Naprava" subscription plan, and a full year of free watch insurance.

Free device insurance and free Safe Internet with a new Samsung phone
In July, Telekom Slovenije is bringing the "Modri Fon" (Blue Phone) benefit with an exceptional offer on two powerful mobile phones: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. In addition to specially reduced prices for the mobile phones, with the option to purchase in instalments, users also receive 6 months of free mobile phone insurance and 6 months of free use of the "Varen splet" (Safe Internet) service.

Gigabit unlimited 5G "Naj" plans from just €9.99 per month
In line with its commitment to continuous improvement, Telekom Slovenije has upgraded all mobile plans in the popular "Naj" (Best) family to include gigabit transfer speeds on the 4G/5G mobile network. With the highest possible data transfer speed of up to 1 Gbbps downlink and up to 200 Mbps uplink, this upgrade provides a premium experience, including seamless 4K/8K streaming, instant file uploads, and reliable remote work. To make this experience available to the widest possible range of people, a special promotional offer was launched and runs until 31 July 2025. During this period, the monthly subscription for any "Naj" plan is reduced to €14.99. For subscribers who also use Telekom Slovenije's fixed services (NEO or Net plans), the price is even more attractive at just €9.99 per month as part of the "Poveži in prihrani" (Connect and Save) benefit. The benefit is available to both new and existing subscribers, but under different terms and conditions. New subscribers who enter into a 24-month contract will receive the promotional prices for the entire contract period. Existing subscribers can take advantage of the benefit by extending their contract for 24 months and simultaneously purchasing a new device, with the promotional price applicable for the first three months after signing.
