Interconnection is the physical and logical connection between public communication networks used by the same or different operators to allow users of one operator to communicate with users of the same or another operator or to access services provided by another operator. Interconnection is a specific type of access performed between operators of public communication networks.
According to the Electronic Communications Act, access is providing availability of facilities and/or services to another operator under defined conditions, on either an exclusive or non-exclusive basis, for the purpose of providing electronic communications services.
Telekom Slovenije, as an operator of international transfer networks, provides the service of voice call transit to operators with the purpose of enabling call termination abroad.
Operators who wish to originate voice calls to foreign public networks through Telekom Slovenije, enter into a suitable contract with Telekom Slovenije, in which technical and commercial conditions for call transfer are defined.
