VALÚ services now have a quarter of a million of users

The VALÚ smart wallet, which Telekom Slovenije launched one year ago, and VALÚ Moneta now have more than a quarter of a million users, while the average transaction value in the past year increased by 38 percent.

The VALÚ smart wallet is available as a mobile app, which supports mobile payment services, transfer of funds between users, splitting the bill, as well as identification and use of local infrastructure services, such as purchasing Slovenian Railways train tickets, event tickets or tickets for Krvavec mountain resort, and can be connected with the app to pay the difference when using student restaurant vouchers. Users can add e-money to their VALÚ account in a quick and simple way by using VALÚ Moneta, with a credit or debit card or by a bank transfer from their bank account.

VALÚ can be used for payments at more than 3,000 points of sale across Slovenia. Payments can be completed using several methods – using the data-over-voice (DOV) technology, a VALÚ numeric code, a QR code or NFC technology (Android devices only). Payments can also be made at petrol stations, in shops, online stores, on vending machines, parking meters, in a taxi, for food delivery and door to door sales. VALÚ is also an excellent payment method for telephone sales, on city buses and the Urbana machines, for topping up prepaid accounts and for periodic payments.

VALÚ is a new generation of financial solutions that support fast and comfortable payments with a mobile device, while utilizing interwoven local services and providing efficient management of money.
