Telekom Slovenije is expanding its 5G network coverage across Slovenia. In the last three months, it has rolled out 5G to 200 new locations across the country, increasing coverage from 65% to over 75% of the population in just this short period. Activities are continuing, with the aim of achieving 99% 5G signal coverage by the end of 2025.
In the past three months, Telekom Slovenije has upgraded its 5G network in as many as 200 new locations across Slovenia, bringing mobile internet access to dozens of towns and villages across the country. Telekom Slovenije's 5G network now covers more than 1.5 million people, with over 75% coverage. Telekom Slovenije plans to achieve 99% population coverage with its 5G signal by the end of 2025.
In the last ten years, Telekom Slovenije has invested more than EUR 680 million in the development and maintenance of its fixed and mobile networks. In addition to a cutting-edge mobile network, Telekom Slovenije also offers an advanced fibre-optics network. 250,000 households can be connected to this network, both in urban centres and rural areas, with a total of more than half of Slovenian households already having access to fibre-optic connections. Anyone can now check with just a few clicks whether they have access to fibre optics at their address. And until fibre-optic connection become available, Telekom Slovenije can also provide subscribers with immediate access to services via its advanced mobile network.
