Telekom Slovenije participating in the new European project ENDURANCE, aiming to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure

The project aims to improve the resilience of critical infrastructure across Europe by focusing on enhanced cooperation in the EU the field of critical infrastructure at all levels. This primarily involves data sharing and comprehensive risk assessment among critical infrastructure stakeholders, with the goal of improving the continuity of essential services in the event of disruptions such as cyberattacks, natural disasters, technical failures, or other crises that may threaten the operation of this infrastructure.

As part of the ENDURANCE project, partners will develop innovative technologies for secure data sharing and joint risk and resilience assessment. They will also ensure a unified strategy for maintaining the continuity of essential services during disruptions that could jeopardise their operations. Key technologies include secure data-sharing platforms, risk assessment tools, and a framework for resilience testing. Telekom Slovenije will play a significant role in several areas of the project: coordinating project activities, establishing pilot systems to enable real-world testing of solutions developed by project partners, and integrating and testing these solutions. Furthermore, Telekom Slovenije will have a key role in the MESO pilot project, which will be a part the ENDURANCE project, focusing on disruption resilience in the digital and energy sectors, as they are strongly interconnected and interdependent.

The international consortium comprises twenty-two partners from six European countries. In addition to Telekom Slovenije, the Slovenian partners in the consortium are the Institute for Corporate Security Studies (ICS), ELES, the Agency for Communication Networks and Services (AKOS), Government Information Security Office of the Republic of Slovenia (URSIV), and Silver Bullet Risk. (Italy); Perifereiako Tameio Anaptyksis Attikis (Greece); Perifereiako Tameio Anaptyxis Perif Dytikis Ellados (Greece); Etaireia Ydreyseos Kai Apochetefseos Proteyoysis Anonimi Etairia (Greece); Timelex (Belgium); Diadikasia Business Consulting Symvouloi Epicheiriseon AE (Greece); and Carr Communications Limited (Ireland).

The ENDURANCE project will run for three years, until October 2027. The total project budget is EUR 6.48 million, with the European Commission providing co-financing of EUR 5 million in the form of grants.
