At its 30th regular meeting, held on Wednesday, 5 March 2025, the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, d.d., reviewed the unaudited business results of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije, d.d. for the year 2024. The Telekom Slovenije Group performed successfully in 2024, exceeding its targets and significantly improving its performance across all key segments and target markets compared to 2023.
The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EUR 720.0 million in revenue in 2024, which is 2% more than in 2023, and above the planned target. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) at the Telekom Slovenije Group level reached EUR 240.3 million, which is 5%, i.e. EUR 11.7 million more than in 2023 and 3% above the planned target. The EBITDA margin at the Group level stood at 33.7% of sales revenue. Following the calculation of corporate income tax with deferred taxes, the Telekom Slovenije Group generated a net profit of EUR 55.2 million, which is 17%, i.e. EUR 8.1 million more than in 2023 and 28% above the planned target. These results reflect development-oriented operations and modern services and solutions that the employees of the Telekom Slovenije Group companies provided to customers in 2024.
The highest customer satisfaction in the last three years
Telekom Slovenije has significantly increased its lead in providing the best customer experience. The satisfaction of Telekom Slovenije’s customers according to the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), as measured by market research conducted in March 2024 for the fixed and mobile segments, has reached the highest values in the last three years, which is also reflected in subscriber growth. At the end of 2024, the Group had a total of 1,991,337 mobile retail users, which is 4%, i.e. 82,766 more than at the end of 2023, and 316,176 fixed retail broadband and TV connections, which is 4%, i.e. 12,120 more than at the end of December 2023. In Slovenia, the company remains the market leader with a 35.8% share in the mobile services segment, as it increased its market shares in the fixed internet access and IPTV segments, and with a 34% share, it became market leader in the FTTH fibre optics network segment. In Kosovo, the company is the market leader with a 53% market share in the mobile segment, while in the fixed segment its market share stands at 28%.
Focus on technological development and network expansion to ensure an excellent customer experience
Telekom Slovenije makes it possible for more than a half of Slovenian households, which numbers to nearly half a million, to connect to its fibre optics network. It had more than 213,000 retail broadband connections in Slovenia in 2024, and made it possible for 19,000 additional households to connect to its fibre optics network.
In Slovenia the company increased 5G network coverage by a third during 2024, and by the end of the year, it already covered 80% of the population. Telekom Slovenije continues to increase the capacity of its mobile network, and has also doubled the speeds on subscription plans and activated data transfer at gigabit speeds. In Kosovo the company is the leader in 5G roll-out, as it already provides 65% population coverage.
