Telekom Slovenije and Samsung once again supported Pink October, the international month of breast cancer awareness, by launching a special series of the Samsung Galaxy A30s Pink Ribbon phone. At the campaign’s conclusion they handed the €10,000 donation to Tanja Španić, the president of Europa Donna Slovenija.
Breast cancer is the most frequent type of cancer among women. According to Europa Donna, nearly 1300 women and 15 men in Slovenia get breast cancer every year in Slovenia, while nearly 400 women and 10 men die as a result. Europa Donna Slovenija organizes various activities every October to raise awareness about breast cancer and highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle and early detection. Telekom Slovenije and Samsung have been supporting Europa Donna for more than 10 years.
Telekom Slovenije and Samsung will be continuing their activities into November, which is devoted to raising awareness about health and diseases that plague men. The companies will donate a share of their proceeds from the sale of every Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Samsung Galaxy A70 phone to OnkoMan, the Slovenian Oncology Association for Men, which is raising funds to purchase a simulator for transurethral operations on the urinary bladder and prostate.
