Telekom Slovenije doubles mobile data rates now also in the mobile network, supporting gigabit data transfer

Starting on 1 March, Telekom Slovenia has doubled the speeds across its mobile subscription plans at no extra cost. In the most popular plans – the Naj C plan and the SUPR plan for young people – users can take advantage of high-speed internet with gigabit speeds (up to 1 Gbps downlink and 200 Mbps uplink). Along with gigabit speeds, young people will also be glad to find that the SUPR plan now leads among all youth-focused subscription plans on the Slovenian market by including the most data allowance in EU-rate countries (22 GB).

Elementary students from Sežana learned how to avoid traps in the digital world

The digital world poses numerous dangers to children and adolescents, while also offering opportunities. This, along with safe online dating and online grooming were the main topics of an interactive workshop at the Srečko Kosovel Elementary in Sežana on 14 February, as February is also the Safer Internet Month. 58 students from the 4th to the 9th grade attended the workshop, with some of them just now entering the digital world, while others have already begun to master it.

To commemorate Safer Internet Month, Telekom Slovenije has alerted that the number of online abuses and cyberattacks on individuals, companies, and organizations is increasing. At the Cyber Security Operations Centre, experts from Telekom Slovenije use cutting-edge technology to closely monitor, analyse, and respond to security events 24/7. In 2023, they detected an 85% increase in security incidents compared to the previous year. There is an increasing number of abuses of personal data, including passwords and payment card details.
