We enable continuous employee training and education, and introduce innovative approaches for empowering employees. We also pay attention to promoting well-being and mitigating burnout, we upgrade employee remuneration and motivation systems, and implement numerous activities to strengthen the employer’s brand. Our operations are based on respect for our values, and with the code of ethics we have established the guiding principles of our operations, as well as the responsibilities that employees have in their interpersonal relationships and in relationships with the users of our services, shareholders, the social and natural environments in which we operate, and all other stakeholders who establish various relationships with the group. Employee development Telekom Slovenije ranks among the ten most reputable employers in Slovenia. We pay special attention to the continuous education and development of employees, as we operate in a high-tech and dynamic sector that is constantly evolving. We are aware that long-term successful performance can only be achieved by constantly investing in the knowledge and development of employee competences. We cooperate actively with faculties and secondary schools. We thus offer opportunities for practical training to secondary school students and practical education to university students, and we also offer company scholarships. EMPLOYEE EDUCATION We ensure the personal and career development of our employees through planned education, training and knowledge management. Key to this transfer of knowledge are our in-house lecturers, top experts in their field who are able to transfer knowledge and experience, as well as know-how relating to internal systems and processes, to their colleagues in an effective way. We place great emphasis on the education of leaders in the framework of our Leadership Competence Centre. Our training programmes are conducted both in person and via digital tools. We use modern e-learning tools, encouraging solutions that enable an easy, advanced and time-effective approach to education and training. KEY AND PROMISING EMPLOYEES Our focus within the system we have established to develop key and promising employees is on those employees that we aim to develop due to their performance, specific knowledge, competences, ambitions and potential. Key employees are experienced experts and/or management personnel who have key knowledge, achieve above-average results and have the potential to take on even more demanding tasks. Promising employees, on the other hand, are younger colleagues, who have less experience but a high potential for development. Every two years, we identify both key and promising employees and include them in various development and educational programmes, personnel rotation programmes, mentoring, shading and coaching. KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER We promote the transfer of knowledge and lifelong learning amongst all employees. We place a special emphasis on the transfer of knowledge and experience between long-term employees and their younger colleagues and successors. We also promote so-called reverse mentoring, where older employees serve as mentors to younger employees and vice versa. We are using a digital mentoring system to gradually establish knowledge maps, building a database of mentors and mentees, thus increasing our competitive advantage, strengthening our connections and further improving intergenerational collaboration. Organisational culture and vitality We promote an organisational culture that is based on constructive attitudes. We focus on superior quality, the development of services, mutual cooperation and business excellence. We regularly measure both organisational culture and organisational vitality. Within the framework of organisational vitality, we focus particularly on employee satisfaction with management and working conditions, the opportunities for development, and the employees’ workload. A safe and healthy work environment We ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. We promote healthy living by raising awareness of the importance of an active lifestyle and healthy eating on our internal Modro jabolko (Wise Apple) portal; we conduct various health promotion activities, enable preventive medical examinations and vaccinations, as well as preventive exercise programmes. We are running a project called Živijo, stres! (Hello, Stress!), which aims to raise the employees’ awareness of how to manage stress and prevent burnout. We organise various lectures, workshops, etc. A psychotherapist is also available to provide counselling to employees in distress. The Heart Foundation In turbulent times, we stand together and help each other to the best of our ability. With the aim of easing the hardship faced by families, in particular by the children of employees of Telekom Slovenije Group companies who have lost a parent, or who are seriously ill and require expensive, long-term treatment, we decided to establish an internal foundation called the Heart Foundation. The Heart Foundation is registered as a humanitarian organisation with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. All employees can contribute EUR 2, EUR 4 or EUR 6 a month to the Heart Foundation. A family-friendly company We promote a healthy work-life balance. To this end, we conduct activities in the scope of the Family-Friendly Company certificate. In this way, we also ensure a friendly working environment and strengthen the company’s values.
